Back to nature in Scotland

Earlier this month we ventured to Scotland to spend some time getting back to nature. Our camping trip took us from the tranquil shores of Loch Lomand, to the wild landscapes of the Isle of Skye (with plenty of scenic stops along the way). Our days were spent hiking, sheltering from the rain and snapping the endless breathtaking views that seemed to jump out at every turn.

There we so many things to photograph along the way, and we were particularly fond of the herds of sheep which we often encountered footpaths, as well as the single-track roads we were driving along. The winding roads were an adventure in themselves, taking us up and down steep hills, along the coast and past many a traditional white cottage.

The trip provided the perfect opportunity to try out my new JORD watch. I must admit that I’m not usually a fan of jewellery and watches, but when JORD Watches reached out to host a giveaway I was quite enamoured with the natural materials in their timepieces. I ended up opting for the Frankie Series watch in Koa & Ash. Even though Koa wood is native to Hawaii, it blended perfectly with the rustic colours of the Scottish landscapes (and came in very handy for telling the time when all our electronics had died).
